Report: EU to slap 6th package of anti-Russian sanctions next week

BRUSSELS, Apr 22 (PRIME) -- The E.U. plans to introduce a sixth package of anti-Russian sanctions next week, Politico daily reported on Friday citing unnamed diplomats.

“Brussels is drawing up plans for a sixth package of sanctions against Russia … with measures expected to be presented to European Union countries early next week, according to several diplomats,” the daily reported.

“The new package is set to include some form of ban on Russian oil imports, and may also target more Russian banks by expelling them from the SWIFT international payments system,” the daily reported.
